A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 Review
A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 Review
In January 2016 at SIHH, A. Lange & Sohne revealed their newest Lange 1. This white gold watch joins the yellow gold, pink gold, and platinum Lange 1s that were introduced at SIHH 2015. Although this white gold watch follows in the footsteps of its predecessors, it also features a few new upgrades. Not only is this watch classic with a white gold case and a black leather strap, but it also features added lume to the hands and indices. This new feature will make it easier to read the dial day, night, or any time in between.
These new features build upon the previous 2015 Lange 1 updates. If you need a brief recap, the 2015 Lange 1 featured a new movement, L 121.1, that offered a 72-hour power reserve and instantaneous date-change at midnight. The new movement also increased time accuracy by stopping the seconds hand at zero whenever the time was set.
The 2016 Lange 1 enjoys these new features as well as the classic features that have come to be expected with the Lange 1: a large date window, an up/down power reserve indicator, and sub-dials to show the time in hours, minutes, and seconds.
